What are the basic treatment methods for urban solid waste

發(fā)送時間: 2024-08-28

With the progress of cities and surrounding areas, solid waste treatment has become an urgent issue. China's environmental protection investment has built nearly 50 comprehensive solid waste treatment projects, covering 16 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government, with a total solid waste treatment capacity of 45000 tons/day, becoming the leader in China's solid waste market. A professional monopoly of garbage treatment equipment and a leading enterprise in the garbage treatment industry, with a deep understanding of this. Let's all listen to experts explain the basic methods of urban solid waste?

The solid waste treatment technology involves multiple disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, and mechanical engineering. The main treatment technologies are as follows:

  (1) Pre treat solid waste. Before the comprehensive utilization and treatment of solid waste, pre-treatment is often necessary for subsequent processing. Pre processing mainly includes processes such as crushing, screening, grinding, and compression.

  (2) Physical treatment of solid waste. Use the physical and chemical properties of solid waste to separate useful or toxic substances from them. By utilizing the characteristics of solid waste, methods such as gravity separation, magnetic separation, electric separation, photoelectric separation, ballistic separation, friction separation, and flotation can be adopted.

  (3) Chemical treatment of solid waste. Utilize the chemical conversion of solid waste to recover useful substances and energy. Baking, roasting, sintering, solvent leaching, thermal decomposition, incineration, electric radiation, etc. belong to chemical treatment methods.

  (4) Biological treatment of solid waste. Use microbial action to treat garbage. Its basic principle is to use the biochemical action of microorganisms to decompose complex organic matter into simple substances and convert toxic substances into non-toxic substances. Methane fermentation and composting belong to biological treatment methods.

  (5) Final disposal of solid waste. Hazardous solid waste with no practical value needs to be treated. The methods of disposal include incineration, landfilling, and abandonment at sea. Solid waste needs to be treated harmlessly before being disposed of in landfills or put into the ocean.

Solid waste has the following characteristics:

  1. If the land occupied by urban household waste is not treated and disposed of in a timely manner, it will occupy farmland, damage agricultural production, as well as the terrain, vegetation, natural landscape, etc.

  2. Improper treatment of solid waste from soil pollution can allow harmful components to enter human soil through surface runoff, killing microorganisms, damaging soil structure, and deteriorating soil health.

  3. Solid waste from polluted water bodies can be carried into human surface runoff with natural precipitation or wind, and then flow into water bodies such as rivers and lakes, causing surface water pollution.

  4. Some solid waste can also cause special damage, such as combustion, explosion, contact poisoning, and corrosion. Side body waste may also indirectly harm human health through animals and plants, such as heavy metal pollution.

Solid waste refers to solid or semi-solid waste that has lost its original use value or has not lost its use value but has been discarded or discarded in production, life, and other activities, as well as gas substances and substances placed in containers, and substances that are classified as waste management according to laws and administrative regulations. Liquid waste that cannot be discharged into water and gaseous substances that cannot be discharged into the atmosphere that are placed in containers. Frequent occurrence has significant harm and can generally be included in the solid waste management system.

The methods for crushing solid waste are divided into dry, wet, and semi wet methods. Both wet crushing and semi wet crushing have graded separation treatment. Dry crushing, also known as crushing, is generally referred to as mechanical crushing and can be divided into mechanical energy crushing and non mechanical energy crushing.
